February 26th Deadlines and Details

 WINTER TRAIL FROSTY  2022 

Saturday, February 26th

Event location: The race is located at Eagle Creek Park, 7602 Eagle Beach Drive, Indianapolis.  Please note Eagle Creek Park does have park entrance fees, we encourage carpooling if possible. 

EVENT SCHEDULE:

  • Monday, February 21: Last day to transfer your live entry to the virtual option or transfer your race bib to another participant.  All virtual transfers will be shipped on Friday, February 25th. (NO TRANSFERS WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR ANY REASON AFTER 2/21/22 and finisher medals are only given out on race day to those that cross the finish line.)  TRANSFER LINK 
  • Saturday, February 26:  Packet pickup 8:00 - 9:30am at the race start area. Any shirts not picked up by 9:30am will be made available for the shirt exchange or available for sale. 
  • 9:30am: PACKET PICK UP CLOSED
  • Race starts at 10:00am
  • Race cutoff:  Course closes to new lap starts at 11:45am (after this time, half marathon runners will not be allowed to start a new lap). Race cutoff is 2:00pm. 

Please remember, this event takes place completely outside.  There will not be any shelter areas available.  If you do not attend the event, or transfer your entry to the virtual option by Monday, February 21st, you are considered a "no show" and you will not receive any event related items.  (Sorry, no exceptions for any reason) 

We don't have all the answers in life but we do have a few...

Q: Will the race be cancelled if it rains or snows?
A: Welcome to winter in Indy.  The race will be held, rain, snow, or sleet.    Courses may be modified to account for weather conditions.  However, if it is unsafe due to sub below temps, wind chill, or ice, the race director reserves the right to cancel or postpone the event.  Weather conditions are based on the location of the event.


Q: I am entered in the event but can no longer attend, what are my options?
A: As noted when you registered, we cannot offer deferments or refunds for any reason.  However, we do allow you to transfer your live ticket to the virtual option or you can transfer your race bib to another participant.  The transfer option is available through Monday, February 21st.  After that time, all transfer options are completely closed (sorry, no exceptions for any reason). If you select to use the virtual option, your race bib, finisher medal, and any event apparel you ordered will be mailed directly to you on Friday, February 25th and you can complete your run anytime through 2022.  Please see TRANSFER OPTIONS for complete details. 
Shirts and any other event related merchandise will NOT be mailed to those that do not attend the event or do not select the transfer option.   Finisher medals will not be given out to anyone on race day that does not complete the event. 

Q: Can I switch race distances?
A: If you need to change your race distance, please use the DISTANCE CHANGE FORM and we will be more than happy to adjust your entry.  Please note there is an upgrade fee if you want to change from the quarter marathon to the half marathon.

Q: Can I exchange my shirt for a different size?
A: Yes. You will be given the shirt size you selected when you registered. If you would like a different size, please come to the packet pickup table at 9:30am (sizes and quantities are available on a first come/first serve basis) Please check your shirt fit before you leave as we cannot make exchanges once the event is over.

Q: Is there a cut off time?
A: Course closes to new lap starts at 11:45am (after this time, half marathon runners will not be allowed to start a new lap). Race cutoff is 2:00pm


Q: Are dogs allowed on the course?

A: No – although we love dogs, due to safety concerns, they are not allowed on the course.

Q: Where can I see my results?
A: When you finish your race, you can find your results on the scrolling monitors near the finish line. You can also text your bib number to the number found on the back of your bib to receive your time. A few minutes after you finish, preliminary results can also be found online at 131Results.com. Please check your results before you leave. PLEASE PICK UP YOUR AGE GROUP AWARD AT THE EVENT - WE CANNOT MAIL AWARDS.

Q: Will there be any race photos?
A: Yes, and all photos will be free to download without any watermarks.   However we cannot guarantee a photo of each particpant,  so if you want to have a specific photo taken, please feel free to ask our photographer directly and he will be glad to get a photo for you.
